Mixed Use Destinations
Enduring mixed use communities enhance social gathering, commercial success, and become the “heart of their community”. These developments are among our most complex design work requiring expertise in a range of typologies including residential, retail, office, entertainment, and new strategies for parking. But they also demand that we balance all the competing and contradictory requirements between these uses. It’s a “black art” more than science. And these mixed-use developments are an essential contribution to making great streets… and that is, merely, essential to making great cities and communities.
